TinyTaps exists for one very specific moment:

When you're working, and your toddler wants the keyboard. TinyTaps turns that chaos into a playful, fullscreen loop with less stress, less risk, and more giggles.

A safe keyboard & screen toy for babies and toddlers

TinyTaps is a playful fullscreen web app where toddlers can tap anywhere and instantly trigger colourful animations and musical sounds. Best for curious toddlers aged 6–36 months.

THE STORY

A calmer handoff for the exact moment a toddler wants the keyboard

My 16-month-old kept grabbing my laptop. Every baby game app I tried was full of ads and manipulative popups. So I built TinyTaps — a plain website, nothing to install, 7 fullscreen play modes. Made in Bengaluru by a dad, for his son.

Frequently asked questions

Is TinyTaps really free?
Yes — free forever. There are no premium tiers, no in-app purchases, and no plans to add any. It costs ~$10/year to run (domain registration). Everything else runs on Cloudflare's free tier.
Will my toddler accidentally exit or click something?
There are no visible buttons during play. To open the parent menu, you hold the top-left corner of the screen for 2 seconds. For extra safety, use Guided Access (iPhone/iPad) or App Pinning (Android) to prevent swipe-home and notifications.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Once you've visited TinyTaps, add it to your home screen. The service worker caches everything needed. It will work on planes, in cars, and anywhere offline — permanently.
What age is it designed for?
6 to 36 months. The interaction model is dead simple: tap anywhere, something colourful happens. There's nothing to "figure out". Older toddlers enjoy the Animals and Colors modes where they can recognise and learn words.
Is the child's name safe?
The name you type (optional) is stored only in the device's localStorage. It is only used to personalise celebration messages ("Yay Aarav!"). It is never transmitted anywhere.
Who made this?
TinyTaps was made by a dad in Bengaluru, India for his 16-month-old son. It was built as a weekend project because existing baby apps were full of ads and dark patterns.
